Gloria Hendry is an American actress and former model, best known for her roles in blaxploitation films of the 1970s. She was born on March 3, 1949, in Winter Haven, Florida.
Hendry gained recognition for her role as Rosie Carver in the 1973 James Bond film "Live and Let Die," which made her the first African-American actress to play a Bond girl. She also appeared in other popular blaxploitation films such as "Black Caesar" (1973) and its sequel "Hell Up in Harlem" (1973).
In addition to her film work, Hendry has also appeared in television shows such as "Sanford and Son," "Kojak," and "The Rockford Files." She continues to make occasional appearances in film and television, as well as attending fan conventions and events.
